OK.... Here's the story. . . I have known Jonny since we were young through church. Jonny contacted me a few weeks prior to ask if I could photograph him proposing to his girlfriend Holly. Photographing a proposal has been on my photography bucket list for some time now so I quickly said yes! The best part is Jonny had just about every detail planned to a T! So here is how it went down.....
Jessi and I arrived at Paradise Cove while Jonny and Holly were having dinner. I texted Jonny to let him know we were there, so soon after they took a stroll down the beach. Jessi and I were playing on the beach having a pretend photo shoot (see previous blog) as Jonny and Holly passed us. They set up a blanket and proceeded to walk down by the water to take a "selfie". Jessi is really outgoing and super bubbly so I had her approach them and ask if she could take the picture for them instead. They agreed. Instead of Jessi just taking a picture, Jonny had requested that she record a video of him proposing with his phone. So after they "posed" for the photo Jonny got down on his knee and proposed. (All the while I am snapping away with my camera and Jessi is recording) Her reactions were priceless and of course...... SHE SAID YES!
It was beautiful! I am SO glad Jonny thought out every detail to make sure this moment was well recorded so that they could look back on these photos forever and relive the moment. I am really looking forward too their engagement session coming up this weekend. We have a lot of fun and beautiful things planned. Stay Tuned!
Cheers to an amazing night, a beautiful newly engaged couple and the rest of their lives together. May it be Blessed.
***This is a moment in a girls life that is forever engraved in her mind and heart. To have it also captured in photos is SUCH a bonus. If you are reading this and are planning on proposing to someone in the near or far future, or if you know someone who is, PLEASE consider doing what Jonny did and hire a photographer or tell someone to. Heck HIRE ME! I will hide in bushes, behind rocks, hang from trees or dress up in a monkey suit at the zoo so that you can have your moment recorded without ruining the surprise. ***
